TRILLIUM (Wood lily; Wake Robin)

TRILLIUM (Wood lily; Wake Robin)

Highly desirable, these North American wood-land plants resent disturbance and will take at least a couple of seasons to re-estab-lish their root systems and begin flowering. They need a light, humus-rich soil that is not too dry, in part shade.

Plant List

TRILLIUM CHLOROPETALUM

This magnificant form of the American wood lily is probably more correctly T.kurabayashi but whatever it is it is very vigorous with large upright flowers of red sitting above  the usual whorl of 3 marbles leaves. Seed raised so there is a little variation in the flower colour. This is usually the first to flower.
