Merry Bells. This American woodlander has tuberous roots. The arching stems give rise to terminal hanging yellow flowers that are shaped like a long bell, with the twisted petals joined only at the top. They has attractive orange seed heads in late summer.They need a light, peaty soil, in semi-shade, similar to trillliums . They gradually build up into impressive clumps.
