ALLIUM

ALLIUM

ALLIUM

We offer semi-evergreen varieties which prefer to be planted at this time of the year. These do not have bulbs but a swollen rhizome and are propagated by dividing the clumps in early spring.   The flowers are sweetly scented and strongly attractive to bees and butterflies. The onion smell only occurs when the leaves are bruised. They are all easy to grow in light, well drained soil in full sun and make useful edging plants for sunny borders.

Please see our Autumm catalogue for thetall  drumstick, bulbous alliums
