North American herbaceous plants with divided leaves and flowers along the ends of the branched stems. Easy to grow in rich light soil on the cooler side of the garden in the south, needing more sun further north. Most not be allowed to dry out.

DICENTRA SPECTABILIS 'VALENTINE'

 (Bleeding Heart). An outstanding new  form of Bleeding Heart with rich terracotta red lockets. Quite superb and as easy as the other forms although they are a little shorter and the leaves are much darker.  Gradually forms spectacular clumps in sun or part shade. One of the most elegant border plants for sun or perfect in part shade. The thick tuberous roots are difficult to post so they should be ordered early. Leave undisturbed to make handsome clumps..

Award of Garden Merit (Bleeding Heart). An outstanding white form of Bleeding Heart with pure white hanging lockets. Quite spectacular. Gradually forms spectacular clumps in sun or part shade. One of the most elegant border plants for sun or perfect in part shade. Lovely arching stems with numerous hanging white lockets. The thick tuberous roots are difficult to post so they should be ordered early. Leave undisturbed to make handsome clumps.
