DIERAMA BARR HYBRIDS

Angel’s Fishing Rod. Wand Flower. These evergreen corms form basal clumps of narrow leaves topped by arching spays of hanging bells in summer.  Our own hybrids between D. pumila and D. pulcherrimum. The colour is very variable from palest lilac to salmon-pink and purple. Mixed colours only. Perfect for a sunny situation where the corms can be left alone to make spectacular clumps. Perfect arching over a path. Must not be in soils that are waterlogged but above a pond is OK.

DIERAMA DRACOMONTANUM ( pumilum)tanum)

(pumilum). A delightful dwarf form with salmon-pink flowers. More upright than most. Grows in the thousands on the Sani Pass in the Drakensberg Mountains - hence its correct name.

Slender arching wands of unusual pale salmon flowers above neat clumps of leaves. A much shorter plant than most - a feature here on the rock garden producing masses of stems. Sells on sight. Evergreen corms. Leave to form impressive clumps

DIERAMA PENDULA

This south African corm produces alrge gclumps of narrow evergreen leaves  The flared flowers are carried on arching stems well above the narrow leaves. The colours vary from white to pale pink. Perfect for a sunny situation where tha corms can be left alone to make spectacular clumps. Perfect arching over a path. Must not be in soils that are waterlogged but above a pond is OK. Evergreen corms that may go deciduous in very cold winters. Vigorous young plants.

DIERAMA PERKY

Wand Flower. Angels Fishing rod. For some years we have been building up stocks of our own selected hybrids and now have enough to sell  this unusal wand flower.  Unlike the others this has open, outward facing flowers of deep salmon pink with a dark maroon eye - it really looks at you!  Medium height plants that flower in mid summer.

The large rich pink flowers are held close together on uprighht stems giving a tremendous impact and lasting a long time. One of the first to flower.
