EUCOMIS AUTUMNALIS (zambesiaca)
This is a dwarf species of the popular pineapple flower with apple-green foliage and a slender spike of white flowers in the late summer. It is a perfect pot plant for a sunny patio or they can be grown in any good sunny position. Winter dormant. Pot grown plants should be kept dry in winter - the back of a garage or under the greenhouse staging is perfect, In the open ground plant the bulbs at least 10cm deep in a well darined soil in full sun.

EUCOMIS COMOSA (punctata)
This is a very handsome form of the summer flowering pineapple flower. They produce a very large, bold spike of outward facing flowers in shades of pinkish-green or cream , crowned with a tuft of leaves. Long basal leaves. Striking. Sunny border and excellent against a wall where they will make large clumps in time. In the open ground plant the bulbs at least 20cm deep. They are much hardier than at first thought

EUCOMIS POLE-EVANSII
(Pineapple flower) This is the giant of the genus — a bulb that almost looks you in the eye! Towering 10 inch wide spikes of creamy-green flowers. It is fully hardy - just plant at least 8" deep. It will probably not flower the first year while it settles but then the display gets better every year. Huge bulbs with broad strap shaped leaves.
