Snowflake. Like small snowdrops except the petals are all the same length. They have now been divided into two separate species – Acis ( the very tiny ones) and Leucojum.
The tall Leucojum Gravetye is sold as dormant bulbs in the autumn.

Bold clusters of nodding white bells. Narrow leaves. It comes from Morocco and prefers to be grown under cold glass. Very early flowering and showy.

LEUCOJUM AUTUMNALE (Acis autumnalis)

Award of Garden Merit(Acis autumnalis). A late Summer/Autumn flowering species for the rock garden or round the bade of a tree. Two or three tiny bell-shaped flowers of white tinged with pink per each  followed by narrow, grassy leaves. Best planted in a sunny position.
