The modern Crocosmia are a greatly improved Montbretia with much larger flowers and glowing colours.  They are  easily grown in any soil that is not too dry. They do not flower well in hot dry conditions or deep shade. Excellent for extending the season into late summer. Most are clump forming and should be lifted an divided every 3-4 years to maintain flowering. They also make good cut flowers. These are vigorous free flowering varieties  offered at a special price.
