(purpureo-auratus).This is a very unusual late summer-autumn glowering gladiolus species. It has long, tubular, horizontal flowers on arching stems.The colour is basically greenish-yellow with dusky-purple overlay and golden speckles inside. It is stoloniferous and gladually spreads to form large patrches. It flowers best in a fertile soli, Plant the bulbs 8cm deep in full sun in well drained soil.
