HELLEBORUS ABSCHASICUS This old plant was long known as Atrorubens. This Caucasican species is deciduous and often in flower at or even before Christmas. It has rather open purple flowers and was the initail source of red in the lenten Rose -  H.orientalis . A reliable old friend. My original plants came from my Grandfather!
