The hardy autumn lily . Strap shaped leaves in summer followed by a stiff stem with one large loose umbel of up to eight pink trumpet flowers. The bulbs should be planted in a sunny position where they can be left undisturbed to make large patches. Congested clumps flower best. They are perfect for growing against a sunny wall. Plant the bulbs at or just below the surface.
